In Asia, Africa, and Europe, storytellers have been passed fable stories on people from one generation to the next generation through mainly oral tradition.
From Greek, we have Aesop’s fables for kids.
From India, we have Jataka’s stories.

Beside fable stories for children, fables are also told for the purpose to teach spirituality and life skills for adult learners.
